Graphic Designer and Writer Looking to Expand Her Portfolio
Growing up, I always aspired to follow my grandfather's footprints and become a journalist. Now, as a student one year away from obtaining my BS in Journalism from Emerson College, I've realized how much more journalism can be.
Throughout High School I took a two graphic design course to help make me proficient in Adobe suite programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premier and Lightroom as well as amateur web design with Wordpress and Wix. Using the skills I learned through my high school and course work alongside my expanded work in creating video and audio packages through my college course work, I hope to become a more expansive journalist and include multiple forms of graphics and media to adequately tell the stories of the people I cover.
Now, after having works published in small newspapers and completing an internship at a wedding photography company, I hope to expand my portfolio in my last year of college and create more published samples before moving into the professional job market.
