UX Designer that has worked in web and product design since the first ever browsers and the designer of mobile applications from the beginning for native mobile applications.
Designing products is my passion in life. Computers for me are like musical instruments for musicians. I have been using, building, programming, designing since I was a child building little robots that crawled around the floor bumping and turning.
Like all passions, they need to be continually stimulated, which is why I work as a freelance UX designer with clients from around the globe.
Work Terms
As I am passionate about my work and as this is truly a design process, hours of work tend to be work like this:
Understanding: The first period is researching the field, users, client requirements and vision. This tends to be a relaxed and slow paced as information is filtered and goals, use cases and stories begin to define the work to come.
Designing the experiment: This tends to be the peek period of work, where wireframing and prototyping is created, ready to be deployed into a user testing environment.
Feedback: This period is again more relaxed as prototypes are tested and challenged.
With that said, I tend to break projects down into three phases. I like to agree a project budget and then keep that in mind during the first Understanding stage as the project scope can be better clarified and expectations agreed.
