Victor Cioban is a history teacher from Romania, passionate of arts and translation. Through my life experience, he has developed various skills in writing, particularly reviews and translation (languages: English, French, German, Spanish).Now he is currently employed as a writer at a Cultural Magazine from my hometown –www.caietesilvane.ro, where he covers topics such as: Art History, Fiction, Poetry, International Relations, Traditions and Customs, Cultural Heritage.
As regarding his interests, they range from arts to travel. Thus, he got involved in a variety of cultural projects, including the elaboration of an Album of Socialist Art (destined for my hometown museum) as well as writing several articles about local visual artists (in order to make them popular to the public) and publishing a bilingual edition of English poetry translated in Romanian ( from Early Baroque to Pre-Raphaelites).
In order to enlarge his abilities of translation, he attended several courses of Translation and Terminology, offered by the UBB University, in which he shared experience together with my colleagues by participating at various translation projects (Tradutech Sessions). Also, he is currently preparing my PHD Thesis in History ( Stars and Princesses. The Origin and Evolution of Fantasy Genre) and he works as an employee in his hometown museum, taking part in the organization and presentation of art exhibitions.
