As a Photographic Artist it is my passion to take ordinary every day items & change them into fine works of art that exalt the imagination.I want to use my skill to capture the beauty I see.

I have many years of photographic training some I went to school for; but mostly I am self-taught. I went to school and trained in 35mm black and white as well as color photography and dark room developing techniques. I earned a college level summer internship as a junior in high school with a local photography lab. I was schooled in large format photography as well as photo lab developing through this internship. I have multiple awards for my work with photography… contests as well as achievement awards. I was even hired by one of the colleges I attended as the college event photographer to work off my tuition. I was headed for a stellar career as a photojournalist and had even worked in the field briefly before being side tracked. I took a hiatus from my budding photographic career to raise my daughter. And now 17 years later, my daughter has guided me back to my calling.

I want to use my skill as a photographer to show the world the beauty that I see through my viewfinder. Though I have to admit, I was outdated by the time I was ready to return, all my previous training was now considered outdated. I was informed that this is the digital age and that 35mm was being phased out. So, I learned new digital techniques, gathered my photographic talent, and re-entered the new photography world.

I really like digital photography. My laptop has become my dark room and photo editing software help me to express my creativity. I have fully embraced the digital world of photography with enthusiasm and excitement. I am reaching for my dreams and when I finally grab onto them… I am going to bring them into my reality. This is me… this is who I am. I am a mom. I am a photographer.
