Programming since 1983, I have written code in multiple languages, developed networking solutions, and completed a BS (summa-cum-laude) and MS in Computer Science (4.0 GPA @ U of Illinois). _____ For the past two year, I have worked primarily with Ruby on Rails to create web solutions and Rest-APIs hosted on Heroku. I have also developed on the Android platform to provide user-interfaces utilizing a Rails-API back-end. _____ My ability to provide web-solutions are enhanced by a familiarity with core-languages, ruby-gems, and other tools (below). My local working-environment and preferred OS for remote-servers is Linux, within which I have experience with installation (desktop and server), command-line, scheduling / batch-jobs, firewalls, etc. _____ I am available, immediately, for long or short-term projects. Whatever the challenge, I WILL find a way to make it work. _____ Skill Short List: RubyOnRails, Postgres and MySQL, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Heroku, Devise (with significant customization to suit), ImageMagick, Prawn-pdf, Send-Grid, SMS functionality, plus basic Android-apps and the Rails API to support it.
