I'm passionate about writing and editing and know how to market my words

I have worked for over four years in communications, with an extensive background in editing and PR journalism. I currently work as a communications associate at the American University in Cairo, writing press releases, promotional content, stories, and feature-length magazine pieces for the university.

I am trained in AP journalism style and SEO editing, and have considerable experience with applications such as Mailchimp, Drupal, and Wordpress. I have an additional background in professional academic writing. I published a 100-page thesis with a comprehensive literature review through my university's Department of Political Science, and have been published in "The Cairo Review of Global Affairs," a quarterly research journal focused on foreign policy issues based at the American University of Cairo. I have also freelanced for the local New Orleans culture website "ViaNolaVie."

I am friendly, flexible, and punctual, and enjoy working with others to edit and craft strong and cohesive written pieces. In my free time I love to read, travel, write creative pieces and cook.

Work Terms

$15/hour. Flexible hours and quick turnovers. Can communicate through email or phone.
