Experienced Business Analyst with a background in finance gained at the BBC, London, UK. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, always goes the extra mile.
My career really started when I left the north of England to work for BBC Worldwide (now names BBC Studios) in London at the beginning of 2000. I worked my way up within Finance to become Finance Manager of Western Europe & CEMA for the Channels business (BBC First, BBC Brit, BBC Earth etc). I had many roles over the years and gained extensive experience of data analysis and reconciliation work whilst preparing management accounts each month end and then annual accounts. SAP was and is the finance system at the BBC and I implemented SAP SD for the Channels business is 2007 from a business perspective working alongside the IT department to provide the requirements. My love for SAP developed from this point on, and I learned SAP SD inside out. IT used to say that IT normally ignored finance calls about SAP (as it was usually user error), but if IT ever received a call from me then there was definitely something wrong with the system and to look into it straightaway!
This knowledge and skill then led me into IT as a Business Analyst, focussing initially on SAP, but also getting exposure to other systems and Public Service projects. I spent 4-5 years as a BA, ending up as Senior BA before leaving to live in Italy in autumn 2018. I worked on 1+ year long projects, providing support to the PM's and producing documentation and was BA for SAP SD and MM modules for the implementation of SAP 4/HANA.
Work Terms
I would normally work standard hours 9am-5pm GMT+1 as I'm based in Italy, which means any work for the US/Canada can be completed and emailed to them first thing in the morning. I am happy to accommodate calls/meetings outside of the standard hours wherever necessary to collect information, deal with queries and provide updates.
