Delivering Effective Copy
Great copy is not determined by clever word-play and puns. Rather, it’s main goal is to transform prospects into clients by being simple and specific. Let me help u find the light.
I Matriculated with a Bachelor Pass in English. I have two years of experience l acquired during high school – were as, l was involved in writing end of year school magazine articles. I was also involved in creating the school’s website content and assisted with their facebook posts.
I did not acquire my qualifications as a copywriter from any university or college – remember that, great copy isn’t learned through any university degree. Instead, my qualifications come from the many hours l spend training and self-studying the following books:
• The Copywriter's Handbook 3rd Edition By, Bob Bly:
? This book taught me about techniques to create compelling content and taught me how to write: effective content that appeals to the reader.
• Made To Stick By, Chip Heath and Dan Heath:
? It explained through fascinating stories and examples – how l can make my ideas and stories have that sticking power.
? How to write simple copy that captures the reader's attention but, most importantly – make them take action.
• Mastering The Craft Of Writing By, Stephen Wilbers:
? I learned how to write with skill and style – whether l am composing: Facebook content, articles or blog-content.
So be vigilant of anyone who boasts that: “ their degree qualifies them to write good-copy or content”. Copy that sells is successful not based on how many fancy awards it wins but, how many products it sells.
All these skills l can bring to the table and write: effective copy/ content that will appeal to your audience and make them take action. I’m quite flexible when it comes to working hours and deadlines are sacred to me.
