Fashion Designer with 10+ years of industry experience

Hello

I spent the first 5 years of my career working for a large women’s contemporary clothing brand. There I worked closely with an in-house team (other designers, patternmakers, sewers, etc.) and overseas vendors on the development of designs and samples. I worked on seasonal designs, starting from design concept and then followed through until a production sample was achieved. In that team environment, I was able to both oversee team members and take direction from our design director.

My last 5 years have been spent working on creating custom designed wedding gowns and special occasion wear. I worked closely with each client, to help design and create custom clothing. In this capacity, I was able to be very hands-on with each part of the design process. From design concept to fabric /research and all the way to fittings and completion of each piece, I was responsible for every step. I was also able to successfully work with a small team of contractors for larger projects. Being able to work more in depth with the construction side of design has really enabled me to create more dynamic projects and to become more familiar with different types of fabrics and how they perform in various finishes and silhouettes.

With my strong fashion background and art school degree, I am also skilled at fashion illustration.

Work Terms

My freelance rates are by the hour since I am just getting into freelancing and it is the fairest payment method for both parties. We can discuss desired hours of work to ensure we stay on budget. I take my work very seriously and will work tirelessly to be ensure your satisfaction.
