Writing is my passion and editing is my skill. My goal is to help others in whatever writing pursuits are necessary for their success.
I have nearly seven years of experience as an editor, proofreader, and creative writer. If you're interested, here's a little bit of background.
In August of 2016, I graduated with an MFA in Creative Writing from Sierra Nevada College where I was hired as an English instructor, advisory editor of the Sierra Nevada Review, and co-director of the SNC Poetry Center. Before being hired as the advisory editor for the Sierra Nevada Review, I was an editor and blog manager on said publication for three years.
In 2011, I worked as a freelance book designer, doing the layout and cover design of June Sylvester Saraceno’s book of poetry, Of Dirt and Tar. My skills as a book designer were acquired as an intern and editorial assistant for Kim Wyatt at Bona Fide Books and its imprint, Cherry Bomb Books, where I was employed for two years. I assisted in the proofreading and editing of two anthologies, namely, Tahoe Blues: Short Lit on Life at the Lake, and Get Out of My Crotch: Twenty-One Writers Respond to America's War on Women's Rights and Reproductive Health. I also served as an assistant editor for the 2012 Melissa Lanitis Gregory Poetry Prize-winner Acquainted with the Cold, by Lexa Hillyer.
I currently work as advisory editor for the Sierra Nevada Review, and as a freelance proofreader/editor. My website is in progress!
