I really, really love building great applications with Django. If that's your platform, I'm your guy. If often joke (except it's not a joke), that Django releases are better than Christmas.
I have a degree in Computer Science and first got into web development back in 2009. I started out (as did most developers back then) with PHP, but eventually migrated to Python and Django.
I did client-based work for a few years before moving to a start-up and leading the charge to use Django. We had 150 million people in our database and over 2TB of total data, so I often got to address and solve problems of scale. I also did extensive work building highly interactive front-end pages, so my JavaScript is also well-honed.
Outside of work, I'm mostly into eating well and exercising regularly. As my body has gotten older I've had to trade in more contact-intensive sports, like football, for less damaging versions, like ultimate frisbee. But either way, I love staying healthy and fit after a day of programming.
Work Terms
Part-time availability through Spring 2015, mostly evenings and weekends. I prefer to invoice in small increments (ideally, weekly) so surprises stay small. Spending time chasing down money doesn't benefit anyone :)
