I'm a professionally-trained proofreader after having worked in the corporate world for around 12 years in office support roles, being the last 7 as a document controller. In this position it was part of my responsibilities to give reports and other company documents a last check. 

Since then I have decided to start a career in Proofreading and for that I have completed professional training through reputable organisations, like CIEP (Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading) – former SfEP –  and PTC (Publishing Training Centre). I’ve completed PTC’s Basic Proofreading course with Merit and CIEP’s Proofreading Progress where I’ve achieved a mark of 8.7/10.

After finishing training I have applied for CIEP’s mentoring scheme where I had the chance to work with real documents provided by my mentor. I have finished the scheme with a mark of 10/10.
