Visual Identity Design for Startups and Small Business

Hello! My name is Dale Strickland, I'm a freelance graphic designer from Fredericton, New Brunswick. My educational background is in Digital Media and encompasses a wide variety of skills including audio/video production, animation, video game design, graphic design, and 3D modeling.

My tailored freelance skillset focuses primarily on graphic design, marketing, and visual communications however I often revisit other passions to provide extra value to my projects and clients.

Work Terms

My office hours are Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm AST.

Communication: Calls & Conferencing
To ensure that all of my clients are taken care of and that I can perform my best work my schedule is segmented into dedicated blocks of time. I work best through written communication for most tasks, with scheduled video conferences/phone calls for introductions and major milestone reconnects. Aside from project emergencies (website unexpectedly offline, a literal fire has emerged in your office and only I can save you), my working process necessitates that phone calls and video conferences be scheduled in advance.

Communication: What We Need From You
The nature of contracting for creative projects is that they will often require input from you or a designated decision-maker at key intervals to ensure the design direction matches your expectations and brand message. I strive to avoid creating unnecessary distractions in your life and work by tackling key questions in an in-depth opening video conference or phone call at the start of the project. During the project timeline, I will require that a dedicated decision-maker be willing to budget time when the need for design reviews and project planning comes up.

Project Payment Plan
To ensure that I can confidently dedicate my time to your project, I require a non-refundable deposit of 70% of the project quote. This is to ensure that the clients I work with are genuine in their needs for my services and that they are committed to initiating the project.

Project Documents (Contracts, Scope of Work, etc)
After we determine the best products and services for you and your business I will take the decisions we made and represent them in key documents including a Scope of Work, Project Contract, and Project Timeline. Once we agree on the project terms and I receive the deposit we are set to begin!
