I am a 62 year old retired executive ( I retired at 54) from the shipbuilding industry. In my last position, I took an Australian R & D startup through the product development stage to full production. I wrote every contract, projection, design progression, production plan, safety manual, SOP, Corporate compliance document, technical document, business plan, & investor agreement, and approved every other piece of business communication emanating from our office, and I shepherded the company through ISO 9001 safety compliance. I am a former US Navy counterintelligence officer, and I have used that training and experience as a foundation for a successful career in private industry. Upon retirement, I embarked in a second career as a technical writer and business consultant. I have a manageable solid client base both in the public and private sector, and prefer to work on projects that allow me to keep a harmonious balance between work and play. I am an OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer for Maritime and Terminal Safety, and am a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. I live in a small town located on the Mississippi Sound in the Gulf of Mexico, and when not working enjoy all activities that take place on or near the water.

Work Terms

I am one of these "up at 4:30 AM" guys that everybody else pretends to hate, and I am generally at my desk by 7 AM CST/CDT. I work until about 3 PM, then come back after supper for a couple of hours. I work Monday - Friday unless it is a rush job. I like to work on a job for job basis rather than hourly, but have done and will do either.I can be paid through PayPal, check, or direct deposit.
