I started a company "Dependable Tool Design". I graduated from DMACC Tool and Die school in the 1980s. I started working in job shops as a Tool and Die Maker working my way up to die designer, die Cost Estimator. Changing jobs, I went to work for a large automotive supplier as a Tooling Engineer/ Program Manager working my way up to Tool Room Manager then Engineering Manager. Then 2008 hit and I went to work for Agriculture manufacturer as the Prototype Shop Manager. Then worked as a Process Engineer.
I have been learning solidworks and Logo Press Die Design software. I have lots of tooling experience I can put into my designs but I still have a ways to go to be a top solidworks software user.
I will be designing Metal stamping dies, checking fixtures, welding fixtures and automation equipment. I am also available for program management (working with vendors on pricing, schedule, troubleshooting, development, approvals), contract engineering,
