About

"When words fail, music speaks."

Daniel Klintworth is an American musician, conductor, composer, arranger, orchestrator and singer who has spent the majority of his professional career working in the world of musical theatre.

Born and raised in Florida, his parents encouraged him in his musical endeavors, beginning with piano lessons at age six. At age twelve he added flute and at age fourteen began exploring musical composition. Under the watchful eye of Dr. Kari Juusela (Berklee College of Music, Boston), he carefully honed his skills as a budding composer.

In his college years, Daniel entered the world of musical theatre as a pianist and eventually music director for many productions at the regional level before moving into the professional theatre world and his first national tour, "Billy Elliot: The Musical", where he served as Associate Conductor/Keys 2 until the tour closed in the summer of 2013. Since then, he has toured with both national tours of the Tony Award-winning show, "The Book of Mormon", until recently when the 2nd National tour was shuttered due to Covid-19.

In addition to his work as a conductor/musician/vocal coach on those shows, Daniel has also served as the orchestrator and arranger on two new musicals, the latest of which (titled "Brad Knows Nothing") is in development with an eventual hope for an Off Broadway run.

With a passion for creating new music, Daniel has also been an active composer for over 20 years. His work has consisted of several short films, commissioned work for theatrical productions and, currently, composing for a brand new DnD podcast slated for a September release on iTunes.

When he's not on the road, he enjoys splitting his time between South Carolina and Washington state.

Work Terms

My hours are super flexible and I make it a point to prioritize each project I take on so that it gets my full creative attention. Depending on the scope of the project (amount of work, quickness of deadline, etc) I prefer to be paid in two installments: an upfront deposit and a final payment due on the date the completed project is turned over. I happily communicate via email, text, phone and video chat.
