I am a licensed architect with over 15 years experience in the profession. I own and operate an architecture firm on the eastern shore of Maryland, Design Matters LLC.

My firm specializes in all aspects of building and site design that require expert, thoughtful design. I am a process focused designer and believe my value to clients is not in immediately providing a single, complete solution, but rather in working with them through an iterative process to discover ideal and unique solutions that fulfill their particular challenges and goals.

My interests and experience are wide ranging. While a graduate student at University of Maryland I focused on urban and site design and won the ULI/Hines competition, where our team beat over 100 other competitors, including teams from Harvard, for an urban project in downtown New Orleans. Following my studies I worked at the University of Maryland as a studio professor, teaching third-year students all aspects of the design process. I worked for several years at MSR Design, a firm consistently ranked among the top 50 in the nation, where I gained experience in adaptive reuse projects and interior design.
