Hi. You may be reading this because you want to know a bit more about me. Perhaps you're wondering if I'm the kind of person you want to dive into a big project with. Am I talented? What sort of experience do I have? Perhaps most importantly, would I be a decent guy to work with?
Those are all things probably best answered by an interview, and I'm open to that anytime. I will say this: a favorite director of mine once said the best actors are those who solve problems, not those that create them. I live by that. When there are snags or bumps in the road, I want to be the guy who figures out a way to move forward. That's what you need to get design on paper, into prototypes, and through development: problem solving.
UX design came into my life because I sought a way to channel my creativity into something tangible, something lasting. As a UX/UI designer, it is my goal to make technology friendlier: to shape it into easy parcels that people can incorporate in their daily lives. People use technology in myriad, nuanced ways, yet I believe it should feel instantly familiar.
To that end, my design process centers strongly on people. If you know who your product is for, I want to meet those people. They are where I like to start.
Work Terms
I work Monday through Friday, and in rare cases on the weekends. I'm looking to beef up my portfolio, so I'm willing to take a cut on my normal going rate. But, it's crucial for us to establish, up front, how much output you're expecting. UX works is time consuming, labor intensive, and valuable. As longs as terms are clear, no one will be getting a bad deal.
