Clear and Concise writing and editing is key to professional documents that reach your target audience.
I am a Canadian who has lived both in the US and Canada, however, I would prefer to live in Mexico and write and edit in a warm climate. I enjoy volunteering, and most of my writing and editing has been as a volunteer service for non-profits or religious organizations. I am trained as an ESL teacher, and have taught English for the past 7 years. Now I am a freelance editor and copywriter, hoping to make a living part-time in the editing and writing field. Although normally I edit proposals, copy, newsletters, and other business documents, I have just finished editing my first non-fiction book for my brother-in-law, also "pro bono". It was a good experience learning to work with a book author. I also edit for a blogger, "pro bono", weekly and enjoy the challenge of making words and sentences more readable for the general audience.

Writing the perfect novel, essay, or advertisement copy, is not rocket science. However, to keep your audience [the reader, the user, or the clients] interested in taking the next step, your writing needs to be clear, concise, and written in plain language, making it easy for the audience to follow where you are leading them – to buy your book, give you a good grade on your essay, or purchase the product you are writing about.
