Committed to high standards and value for money
I am a freelance web designer living and working in the Isle of Man. I have been working in the web industry as a developer and designer for 14 years and during that time I have gained extensive knowledge of what makes a project successful. I have worked on a vast range of projects, from small brochure sites, right through to large, enterprise level sites with millions of hits a month. I have also worked as a project manager so you can be sure that your project will be on time and on budget.
Work Terms
Being freelance, I am flexible in terms of hours of operation - I tend to work a 9 to 5 day (UK time) but depending on client requirements and location, I can be available to suit a particular project.
I do not work for free. My payment terms are: Once a project plan, timescale and cost has been agreed on, I ask for a 40% deposit prior to work commencing. Once work is underway, you will be able to view progress on a private staging site. Communication is key during this process and any changes to the brief that were not part of the original, will require a revised project plan and potential change to the project fees. Once the completion date approaches and the QA process is complete, a further 40% of the project fees are payable. The next stage is configuring your project hosting, deploying code and assets to the live server with a temporary address for final QA and sign off prior to making the site live. Once live, the remaining 20% will be due for payment.
I like to communicate via Telephone, Email and Skype. Email is the quickest way to get hold of me generally and I like the 'paper trail'. I also use an online ticketing and project management system that enables my clients to create work tickets and file bug reports relating to their project.
