I turn "I can't do that" into "I can figure this out" and constantly challenge myself to do the best work possible.
The daughter of a sculptor and a novelist, I grew up in an artistically-nurturing environment. While in junior high, I learned website design and Photoshop in my entrepreneurial father's workshop, and it stuck. Since then, I have discovered my love of all sorts of design, digital illustration, motion graphics, and video editing.
Drawing has never been a hobby for me, but rather a way of life which has been the basis for all my other creative endeavors. I am pleased to have been able to use my skills commercially, by illustrating watch faces and also doing freelance children's book illustration, and plan to continue in that. My bright and nostalgic style is best suited to children's book illustration, although I would also love to work on app or browser games, magazine, or expand my illustrations into avenues not before considered.
What can I bring to the table that is different from other illustrators?
- My proficiency in Photoshop allows me to perfect traditional illustrations to show off the details and color quality perfectly.
- With a background in both print and web design, I understand how to make these images both digitally versatile and print perfectly.
- If you are working on a children's book independently, you may not realize that most illustrators will not be able to also design the print document for your story. With me, there's no need to shop around, as I can do both! I can also even create a website for your book, create promotional products, and whatever else you may need.
