Editor/Writer Extraordinaire!

My name is Deanna Weiss and I am an editor/educator with over eight years of professional experience. Most recently, I repatriated from Seoul, South Korea where I worked as the Head Teacher at one of the country’s most prestigious private English academies. A good portion of my time spent in Seoul was focused on proofreading and editing high-level academic papers and journals, as well as coaching students for TOEFL preparation. Along with this, I had the opportunity to contract with several companies as an editor of various different internal business and advertising materials. Since arriving back in the United States, I have continued to work steadily as a freelance editor and educator for both companies, as well as individuals.

When it comes to educating myself about my industry, I am both assertive and inquisitive. I have developed an acute understanding of APA, AP, MLA, CSE and Chicago writing styles. I am also very well-read, so I feel very comfortable proofreading academic papers, especially ones that encapsulate the topics of literature, history and current events.
