• Owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests.
• Fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs
• Perform regular database maintenance activities by following internal processes (data loads, data fixes, schema updates, database copies, software installs, upgrades and patches).
• Running daily database checks.
• Assist with the automation of regular database support activities.
• Support and implement database solutions in Microsoft SQL Server. This will involve a complete understanding of our core software components and how they interact with the back-end database.
• Adhoc maintenance to release stuck application workflows and halted batch processes.
• Support and patching application code deployment of UK retail store system environment.
• Ability to write and review SQL Server stored procedure and indexes.
• Made new database tables and doing bulk insertion in SQL Server.
• Monitor and resolve any inconsistency in database if occurred.
• Able to analyze the problem and provide solution thereafter.
• Knowledge in running SQL Profiler and analyzing the execution plan.
• Provide key information and support the companies DBA tasks.
• Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with peers, business partners and managers.
• Willingly supporting workload and backup plans as needed during heavy production times.
• Work closely with senior management to ensure smooth DBA operations
• Ability to effectively communicate with UK based operation.
