I am a freelance French-English translator with 20 years' experience in the academic field. I provide high-standard manual translations, as well as editing and transcription services.
After obtaining my masters degree in English (French-English translation, English and American literature and history) in 1992, I moved from France to the UK where I lived and worked for 3 years. I then moved to South Africa in 1995, where I started my career as a technical translator in a Cape Town-based French/South African company specialized in photovoltaic systems.
I have been a freelance translator since 1999 and specialize in French to English translation in the fields of social sciences and humanities, including economics, sociology, history, political science, psychology/psychiatry, educational sciences, etc. and have translated hundreds of articles and books for French and Swiss academics.
I also offer editing, proofreading and transcription services for academic authors and researchers.
My interests include international and national affairs and politics, history, environmental sustainability.
My family, friends, handcraft, art - particularly music - all play essential parts of my life.
