As the proud father to five beautiful children, I know how important it is to capture the precious moments in life. Getting that perfect shot before the moment passes isn’t easy.
I was first introduced to photography at the age of fourteen, when my older brother gave me his prized Yashica camera for Christmas. What am I supposed to do with this? I thought.
Soon enough, I was snapping photos for the school paper and the yearbook, capturing the stories found in school plays, football games, and other events. That’s what made me really fall in love with photography: the beauty of telling stories –real, human stories – though pictures.
It wasn’t long before word got around about my talent for photography. Before I knew it, I was asked to work for the local newspaper, where I continued honing my skills as a photographer capturing fast-action sports shots for local football games, wrestling matches, and basketball games.
