• Supporting, configuring, and fixing all versions of Windows operating systems, including: DOS, Windows 95, 98, NT, XP, 2000, 2003 and Vista, and MAC OSX;
• Designing and setting up networks for customers based on copper cabling, fibre optic and wireless, with connections to broadband where necessary. The installations include: routers, hub, firewall and VPNs. The number of connections can range from a few PCs and printers to hundreds in multiple buildings on the same site;
• Overseeing functions associated with virus removal, spy ware removal and the installation of products to stop these occurring;
• Providing advice in relation to backup procedures - installing appropriate hardware and software;
• Successfully trained users and written macros in the various versions of MS Office to enable customers to work better;
• Set up MS Access databases (Versions 97,2000 and 2010) for a variety of applications - writing VB routines to improve the application and interface with other software, such as email clients and MS Word / Excel.
