I believe nothing is impossible if it can be completed, communicated, and conveyed through the act of writing and the written word.
I taught myself to read when I was three because I wanted to be able to write in books like the ones I was reading and being read. I have been a lifelong writer ever since, crossing genres from academic to professional and poetry to fantasy. I am working on my first YA novel series, with query to begin for the first novel in the first part of 2016. I also write and edit for an online music magazine, which helps me melt together my passion for music and my passion for writing. I have worked, and am credited, as an editor on two currently-published novels, and am currently working with an author on our second project together.
When I am not writing and editing, I am voraciously reading, teaching my college students, or doing my job as a certified professional writing tutor. One can easily, and correctly, assume that writing and words are my life. As an educator, I keep up to date on trends in education in order to be able to write about them. And as a mother, I am always keeping track of parenting news, as well as trends within that area. I maintained a blog fairly regularly for about four years, but I have let that fall by the wayside. Work Terms
I have a relatively flexible schedule and keep odd/late hours, depending on my activities of the day. I prefer to be contacted via email, and while I know payment procedures vary depending on the client and project, I prefer prompt and proper payment.
