I became a career fundraiser after a summer of door-to-door canvassing for Save the Environment in Philadelphia when I was 20. I learned that I have the perfect mix of natural and learned attributes to connect donors to the heart and mission of important causes. And by doing so, I was not only advancing projects that help our society, but I was also connecting people to those causes through their gifts and involvement.

I learned the ins and outs of Development working for 5 years for the Pennsylvania state office of the National Audubon Society. I managed a grants list of 300 prospects and donors for both capital and operating funding, assisted with planning, and drafted content for letter campaigns and nearly all our correspondence with donors.

I then volunteered with the US Peace Corps in Paraguay for 2 and a half years, teaching business skills and business plan writing to young entrepreneurs amongst other projects. I worked on an MA throughout my service in Environment and International Development, specifically researching social adaptation to climate change.

Still in Paraguay, I am reforesting a small estancia with my husband and son while running what has become a successful freelancer career. Over the past 4 years, I have worked with nearly 200 nonprofits, businesses, and individuals across the US and in countries in nearly every global time zone. I am an expert grant writer, proposal writer, business plan developer, and content specialist. Basically, I can conjure any writing you need to communicate your cause to your donor or investor prospects! I also have helped at least 50 organizations develop and hone their strategies and plans - including prospect research, market research, and case statement development.

Work Terms

I work flexible hours, with dedicated office time between 1:00 and 7:00 pm my time (UTC -3), and I am happy to work for either fixed prices or hourly rates. I am connected 24/7 with high speed internet for skype, WhatsApp, or direct calls, and I respond within the hour to emails and texts while working on tight deadlines.
