My previous work experience is very varied having held positions in an international company. I joined the company in 1990 as a Secretary to the Senior General Manager.
I studied part time and obtained a three year Graduate Diploma in Marketing and was promoted within the Company to the position of Marketing Co-Ordinator. My duties entailed gap analysis to identify business growth opportunities, brand management, managing new branch development as well as refurbishing branches, drawing up planograms for inventory and merchandising same. Dealing with advertising houses and organising opening ceremonies.
I was promoted to the position of Retail Centre Manager. I joined the management team in the Western Cape where I managed up to eight Sales Centres in that region. My duties included all management tasks and I gained experience in a wide field of business activities. Including inventory and transport management, marketing, human resourcing and performance management
I was responsible for the SHEQ programme at the branches, including pre audit preparation, carrying out self audits, implementing the requirements as per ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001. Converting material from the Act into training material for staff
I was seconded as a SAP Business Coach, which entailed creating and testing training material, training end users and hand holding during go live of the programme.
