I'm a registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator, and military spouse. I began my career working in clinical nutrition, first in hospitals and then in outpatient nutrition counseling. But after Tufts University's graduate program in Nutrition Communication, I worked in nutrition marketing and public relations, and most recently, as a freelance health and nutrition writer. During the past 15 years, I have wandered the world with my family while living overseas in Japan and Italy. Experiencing different food cultures has emblazened my writing passions: 1) to pare down complicated health information into practical, bite-size pieces for Amercicans, and 2) cultivate the tools and positive mindset that form the basis of sustainable healthy habits.
