Hi! My name is Dima. I am native Arabic speaker who was born and raised in Palestine. I can speak, read, and write fluently both in Arabic and English. I can work with both languages proficiently and I have a wide background about the various Arabic dialects including Levantine, Egyption, and Gulf dialects. I have a BA in English from IUG. Following graduation, I have worked as a translator and content writer for three years for a non-profit organization providing translation and writing services to clients. The translation projects included translating literary, political, legal, and technical texts from English into Arabic and vise versa. I have also worked as an ESL teacher for a year and I'm working currently as an online Arabic and English teacher .Both jobs have provided me with a strong background that enables me to translate any text. Therefore,I am seeking an opportunity to use my languages skills within a professional business context, in a role that utilises my excellent writing and traslation skills. I am completely fluent in Arabic and English, and received high distinction in all my language courses.
I am also interested in languages in general; I have studied Korean and Japanese by myself for quite some time. Learning languages gives me so much pleasure and satisfaction and makes me happy. As I was a child, I had big dreams and I was curious how the other side of the world looks like, what language people speak and what culture they belong to. The thought of touring the world and learning other nations' cultures just thrilled me.
I enjoy reading books, novels and poetry. I also started writing at first as a way to express myself and after listening to music, I thought of adding rhyme to writings. That's how I began writing my own poetry and it felt amazing how I could encode my feelings into poems. I believe in the saying" Do what you love, love what you do" so I'm committed to do my best doing the work I enjoy the most.
