Design professional with a clean, bold, aesthetic style. Experienced in all forms of design, advertising, web development and marketing.
I moved around a lot before settling in the Hampton Roads area. The son of a Navy Pilot, he was used to a military town, so from the beginning, the Norfolk area felt like home. I studied Communication Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University and finished his degree at Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I quickly entered the fast-paced design environment, assuring client satisfaction with advertising and editorial design at the Virginian-Pilot. I have created bold and sophisticated designs for both Hampton Roads Magazine and its successor, Coastal Virginia Magazine. Passionate about the industry, I moved into a position as Assistant Art Director with Virginia Beach-based Vista Graphics, a local publishing company. There, I helped with brand exposure, marketing and art direction on photoshoots. I am now working for Norfolk State University as a Senior Designer for the Communications and Marketing team. In my free time, I love to go on long hikes with my family. I love the outdoors and try to utilize this area’s resources by surfing, fishing and going to the beach. I also enjoy design so much that I freelance in my spare time.
