Donna George is a public relations specialist whose diverse body of work has netted a unique connection to the leadership of Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. She has coordinated and led teams through communication audits of The Herald News in Joliet, Ill. and Jones, Lang, LaSalle in Chicago.

Building quality relationships; acting as liaison between a client and the community, or its internal audiences; and advocating for that client wherever needed have been the hallmarks of Donna’s career.

Her work as communication coordinator for Lakeshore Area Regional Recovery of Indiana, LARRI, a temporary flood relief organization involved building the reputation of a new organization in Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties and then making contact with 18,000 flood victims. The LARRI organization became a constant media presence and a trusted, well-respected entity in Northwest Indiana in less than a year.

She served as the Program Director for Leadership Northwest Indiana, where she gained an intimate knowledge of the attributes of Northwest Indiana and lasting connections to the leaders most passionate about their communities. As the regional coordinator for Purdue’s Opportunity for Indiana Business Plan Competition she was able to engage over 250 entrepreneurs during the three-year run of the grant.
