Hello,

My name is Donna Kos, and I want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.

Writing, editing, and proofreading are passions of mine, as well as travel. Turns out they go hand in hand quite well.

I would like to share a success story of mine which highlights some of my qualifications.

My first book, “Cancer’s Gift,” was integrated into the physician studies curriculum at the University of Chicago, one of the top five universities in the United States. I cut my editing teeth on that project. Stanford bought 500+ copies. Northwestern and St. Jude’s bought copies as well. My son is the first person to survive his cancer twice in the world. For 26 years ... and he’s still going strong.

I served on the board for Ronald McDonald House Charities for over 10 years and served as President for several of those years. My time volunteering, roughly 20 hours a week while working full time, was a direct result of living in Children’s Hospital for nearly two years.

I’ve put my volunteering hat in the closet for now and am working as a full-time writer. I love to travel and have spent 56 months of the last eight years in 16 countries on five continents. Extended travel has helped me learn about other cultures and respect other people’s perspectives in a much deeper manner.

Work Terms

Regardless of what time zone you’re in, I can work around your schedule. I work hourly as well as set rates for particular projects. When your project is completed and approved I would like to be paid in 48 hours if possible.
