Dorothy Estrada holds a M.Sc. in Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design, and a B.S. in Environmental Science. She has over 7 years of work experience and has specific expertise in both urban and environmentally sustainable development. She also has a passion for writing and deep experience as a Project Coordinator and a freelance proposal writer for projects related to local economic development, international development, and entrepreneurship/business development.
Dorothy has used her knowledge and skills to write numerous winning grant proposals, implement effective strategic plans for organizations, and facilitate project design and management through workshops and one-to-one consultations. She is a certified facilitator for cultural safety, cross-cultural communication, and conflict resolution, and has advanced presentation and public speaking skills.
Dorothy’s first language is English, but she is also proficient in German and Spanish. She is well-versed in project management software, MS Office suite, CRM software, and has intermediate skills with GIS and Adobe suite design programs. Dorothy is a strategic, creative thinker who provides added value to her client's work. She is a dedicated, thorough professional who is able to deliver high-quality work in a timely fashion.
Work Terms
**AVAILABLE FROM LATE APRIL 2021** I am open to available jobs up to 35 hours per week. I prefer longer-term contracts, but am open to shorter projects as well.
I am currently based in the U.S., but lived and worked in Germany for 5 years. I am used to working with clients across multiple time zones. I frequently use Zoom or other conference calls for meetings and communication.
