Before launching Hogue Technology, Mr. Hogue enjoyed an extensive career at UniFirst Corporation from 1980 to 2024. He held various positions during his tenure, including cloud engineer and project manager. His responsibilities spanned across multiple technical and managerial domains, allowing him to develop a comprehensive understanding of information technology and management consulting. Before joining UniFirst Corporation, Mr. Hogue was a telecommunications technician in the U.S. Air Force from 1976 to 1980, gaining foundational experience in telecommunications, security, and encryption.

Mr. Hogue has achieved significant milestones throughout his career, such as designing the first UniFirst Corporation cybersecurity program and integrating complex systems for enhanced security. He has also contributed to the field through various publications and projects. Mr. Hogue authored "Cybersecurity Guide for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SMBs)" and "The CIO and CTO: Key Differences and Their Roles in Business Success." He also contributed to "Packet Pushers Web Site - Show 261: Lessons Learned From SD-WAN Deployments" and has written numerous other articles.

Mr. Hogue's educational background includes coursework in computer science at San Antonio College. He also earned several certifications that have bolstered his expertise in the field. These include intrusion detection systems (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) from Cybrary, a certificate in computer networks, network security, telecommunications, cybersecurity, DevOps, and completion certification in telecommunications from the U.S. Air Force. Additionally, Mr. Hogue completed the Data Center Application Centric Infrastructure Fundamentals v2.0 and Troubleshooting NSX certification via Skyline.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Hogue is involved in industry-related organizations. He was a member of the Palo Alto Fuel User Group and has volunteered as a group discussion facilitator for the Boston Fuel User Group. He is also available to serve on advisory and other boards.
