Scientist, writer, reviewer, pharmaceutical technologist
I am a recently retired pharmacist with a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical technology. In my 10 years of pharmacy practice, I gained extensive experience in explaining sometimes rather complex clinical or technical issues in terms that the general public would understand.
It was while working as a pharmacist that I decided to return to academia and pursue a Ph.D. My thesis (Development of Functional Plastibodies) required a range of technical
skills including biological hazard containment, radiation work, fluorescence spectroscopy, confocal, electron, and atomic force microscopy, along with large amounts of data processing and report writing.
My more recent work in academic writing has provided extensive experience in literature review, critical appraisal, and statistical analysis for clients in subject areas spanning chemistry, biology, pharmacology/kinetics, molecular biology, and clinical practice.
