To help improve the health of underserved communities especially women and children

I am a medical doctor with a post-graduation (MCPS) in Community Medicine also known as Public Health. My Public Health experience spans over 25 years during which time I have worked closely with the Punjab Provincial Health Department, various health programmes, district health teams, international development partners and donor agencies. During the course of my work, I have interacted with the senior-most health authorities at the provincial level and at the same time worked closely with district-level health management and outreach teams. My status as an independent public health professional has been an advantage due to which I have always had a strictly professional approach.

Health sector is very diverse and working with different levels of health care has given me an insight into the dynamics and sensitivities which govern the management and operational levels. Over the years I have developed professional relationships with the network of government health functionaries, development partners like WHO, UNFPA and UNICEF and donor agencies including DFID, World Bank and USAID.

I have a proven track record of experience in health systems strengthening, evaluating health sector programmes, monitoring & evaluation and designing and developing health projects. Currently I am working as Additional Director Monitoring, Evaluation & Quality Assurance, Punjab Healthcare Commission.
