Dr. Tope is a Science Education Lecturer with a wealth of experience in teaching, academic research, program coordination, and train-the-trainer for pre-service and in-service teachers. She commenced her lecturing career in the Department of Science and Environmental Education, University of Abuja, Nigeria in May 2017 and was subsequently appointed as the Coordinator of Environmental Education for first-year students in December 2017. In 2018 and 2021, she commenced a new teaching role at the Institute of Education (IoE), and the Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education (CDL &CE), both of which are esteemed Institutions within the University of Abuja. She remains an active member of the faculty to date. Her collaborative research efforts have resulted in the publication of more than 40 scholarly articles and a textbook. She holds a Bachelor of Science Education in Environmental Education (Second-class upper division); a Master's of Education in Science Education; and a Ph.D. in Science Education.
