Hi,

I am Duchesne Francis Q. Vasquez, 25 years of age from the Philippines and I am an artist. My

fascination for the arts and the avant garde goes way back when I was in kindergarten. Ever since I had

laid my hands on a chunky Crayola (and later on chewed on it), I knew what I wanted to do—I wanted to

draw, wherever and whenever. My art is crazy steampunk art. I have always indulged myself on being

inspired by the Stuckists group. Their views on art (where in art is something that has to be felt, not

explained) somehow triggered mine.

I could have copy-pasted a standard format for a cover letter but I chose to write this. And somehow

give you an idea on how my imagination works.

I have almost 8 years’ experience when it comes to freelance graphics design and art shows - from

countless art exhibits up to package design. And back then (up to now), everyone is still doubtful about

getting a career out of the Arts, and I oozing with teen angst decided to study it. I graduated with a best

thesis certificate a degree on Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts major in Advertising at Aquinas University.

Two months after graduating, I flew to Dubai and worked for a Lingerie company as a graphic artist.

Admittedly, I still lacked skills when it came to Adobe software because all I was capable of was analog

art and Photoshop. So, I went back home to the Philippines and studied Visual Graphics Design at First

Academy.

I have accumulated varied skills may it be analog and digital in my 8 years of experience. I am always

willing to learn and I have always wanted to work with a team. I love new ideas and I love contributing

new ones as well. I am open to criticism and suggestions.

I think I deserve this position. And I will prove that to you that if ever you choose me for this job.
