I come from a low income neighborhood in the south-end of Louisville, KY. My whole life I was judged because of this. “The Hood” seemed like a shadow that followed me, no matter where i go, even when there isn’t any light. I used to hate it honestly. It took me a long time to learn that where Im from and grew up is a significant part of who I am. I learned to embrace my stereotype, but break through the invisible barrier that keeps low income neighborhood inhabitants from being legally successful!
