Not to sound trite, but ever since I can remember I’ve been fascinated with language and writing. As I finished my collegiate education, my interest in writing turned outwards, and I found myself becoming invested in finding how to best write for others, as well as myself, over a wide variety of topics. I pride myself in my ability to not only realize the potential within my own pieces of writing, but also in my ability to help clients find their own, personalized written voice through my writing. Because of this ability and interest, I have found myself uniquely suited to freelance writing, editing, and proofreading, as it allows me to combine my love of writing with my desire to challenge myself by writing through different lenses.
I have a strong history in writing, ranging from excelling across a multitude of creative writing genres including but not limited to poetry, journalism, blogging, article, and short story writing, to writing my own blogs and articles for my website, to having had my Honors Thesis, academic essays, and poetry published. I have also held positions throughout my career which have required me to think on my feet and write for a variety of clients across variable circumstances and time constraints. I also have a strong background in the visual arts, and am an accomplished illustrator who has featured in several art shows. Although this may seem unrelated to writing, I would argue otherwise. My background in art has allowed me to gain a unique perspective on the process of successfully brainstorming, drafting, and bringing to life creative concepts. This skill has been invaluable to me as a writer, allowing me to effectively create and execute original concepts through my writing.
As a writer, I am always looking for the next opportunity that would provide me with the opportunity to expand my repertoire and challenge myself take my writing, editing, and proofreading skills to new heights. I look forward to hearing from you!
Work Terms
As should be the case with any quality freelancer, timeliness is of paramount importance to me. If you do not receive the work you have commissioned me for within three days of hiring me (unless otherwise specified due to project length and complication), then you don't have to pay me, simple as that!
My rates for writing are $0.03-$0.08 per word, depending on the difficulty and length of writing required. For proofreading, I charge $0.02-$0.06 per word, again, depending on the difficulty and length of the project. For editing, I charge $0.03-$0.07 per word. Typically, this means you can expect to pay me around $30-40 an hour for my services. I also provide reduced rates in return for testimonials, and work through PayPal to provide you with the maximum security for your investment.
