Hi, my name is Edgar Valera. I am a civil engineer with over 25 years in developing multidisciplinary projects for the oil and petrochemical industry in Venezuela, specializing in reinforced concrete, structural steel and timber.
Work included:
Analysis and design of gable frames with overhead travelling cranes, structures for covey or belts, silos, storage tanks, pipe river crossings bridges, highway bridges (for extra-heavy and permit loads), pipe racks, pipe anchor walls, electrical transmission towers and related structures. Design of foundations for turbo compressors, motor compressors, pumps, vents, stacks, heat exchangers, and towers (electrical transmission and petrochemical). Dynamic analysis of frames, vertical (guyed and self-standing) and horizontal vessels, towers, and buildings. Non-industrial experience: analysis and design of residential buildings, sport and educational facilities.
I can help with the structural projects, using STAAD PRO or ETAPS software for the analysis and design under statically and dynamics effects. Additionally, I can make the drawings in CAD.
