Writing looses the soul.
I make a living as a professional contemporary dancer. I mostly live in Europe, but I spend much of my time back in my homeland Hawaii. However, before I ever danced for a living, I was a writer and even finished the licensure program at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities for English Education and taught for a few years. Dance eventually grew to be my full-time gig, but I always kept writing: songs, poetry, short stories, grants, blog posts.
I love teaching and helping people more clearly communicate what they intend to say. And now, with the current mess, all my dancing and dance teaching work is cancelled and I find myself pulled back into my passion for writing, reading, tutoring.
