Eleana is a Structural engineer with Chartership with the ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) with several years of experience on the structural design of all types of buildings in concrete, steel, masonry, timber and tensile fabric.
In 2018 she was nominated by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) for three prestigious UK awards: the Women Engineering Society's (WES) Karen Burt award which recognises the best newly woman chartered engineer in the UK, the Rennie Redfern Hunt Memorial Prize for the best written exercise produced at Chartered Professional Review and for the James Rennie Medal award (shortlisted) for the best Chartered Professional Review candidate of the year in the UK. Her achievements were acknowledged in January's New Civil Engineer's magazine, prompted by the Reviewers and Panel of ICE following her Chartership Review.
She was also shortlisted in the UK IABSE awards in 2015 following her outstanding contribution to the structural design of the Ben Ainslie Racing HeadQuarter facade in Portsmouth, UK. In 2012 she achieved 2:1 at MEng Civil Engineering from the University of Bristol, UK and honored with the Bristol Plus Award. In 2008 she achieved a scholarship and the Honorary Distinction of Excellence Award for her outstanding performance at high school (top 5 out of 350 students).
