Greetings! I am a bilingual Canadian writer. My native tongues are both English and French. I have a master's and bachelor's degree in biochemistry as well as a college degree in health science and have published a few research articles in scientific journals detailing the fruit of my labor. I also have experience in composing, translating and proofing texts, creation of Powerpoint presentations and posters, as well as in presenting seminars. I am a very versatile person and love to do research on the topics I write about and can be very resourceful in doing so. I am not afraid to work on topics that are new to me and which require adaptation.
I have a passion for writing and reading. Having taken many literature courses in college has broadened my understanding of the written arts. I love poetry, science fiction, horror, and classic literature from the great masters.
Some of the other pure pleasures in my life include: movies, cinema, animals (cats in particular), nature, health, psychology, mental wellness, science, art, Japanese culture (anime, mangas, tradition, etc.), mythology, spirituality, meditation and religion, music (I play guitar, sing and love classic rock).
My professional experiences, aside from the full-time lab research and article writing I did throughout my master's degree, include: customer service and retention services in telecommunication companies (cellphone, television, home phone and internet), crisis intervention and counselling services for employee assistance programs and their crisis lines, team management (territory manager for a mystery shopping firm and QA manager in a spring water bottle factory). I have also worked in a radiopharmaceutical lab, producing radioactive treatments and diagnostic tests for hospital patients).
I honestly believe these were character-building experiences which have led me to understand the world through a different perspective. These will be most important contributing factors to my writing.
