My professional background contains varied industries, but the common thread in every job is that I am always "the wizard" or "guru" who everyone goes to for help with software programs. Whether it is MS Office, or more recently a new Property Management System at an independently owned resort, I quickly learn the system, the shortcuts, and the tricks to make getting the job done easier and faster.

I have always enjoyed typing and organizing data. I like the challenge of formatting a document in a visually pleasing manner and finding innovative ways to perform higher level tasks with simple tools. For example, I once needed to make it like as if an electrical meter was rapidly spinning in a PowerPoint presentation. However, my place of employment did not have any software that I could use for the animation. Rather than give up on the idea, I used the animation effects in PowerPoint, created text boxes to look like the numbers on the meter, and meticulously ordered each item so that the graphic of the meter looked as if it was spinning. My boss loved it so much I became the go to person for creating all of the PowerPoint presentations for the companies board meetings.

Work Terms

I work mainly in the evenings and weekends, though I am happy to reorganize my day to make sure last minute or urgent projects get completed.
