I breathe life into copy, articles and content projects.
my name is Ellie Sellwood, I’m a 27-year-old writer, journalist, translator (DE-EN) and Content Manager. I left the UK 5 years ago to study with 100 amazing people from 63 different countries, for my Erasmus Mundus MA in Journalism, Media and Globalisation in Aarhus, Denmark and then Hamburg, Germany.
After I graduated from Hamburg University, I cut my teeth at achtung! GmbH, one of Germany’s most awarded PR and Marketing agencies. After almost 3 years of working in both English and German as a Content Manager, I am now embarking on a freelance adventure.
I offer copywriting, translation (DE-EN), SEO-Texts, consultation on content strategy and adaptation of German-language content for English-speaking, international markets.
I’m an activist and dreamer at heart and I’m currently fighting for the rights of Brits across Europe in the face of Brexit for the campaign group - British in Germany. You might have seen me in the Hamburger Abendblatt or on Deutsche Welle.
When I’m not writing or campaigning, I love going to watch live music, head-banging to rock and indie music on Spotify, reading about women throughout history, or shaking it all out at Zumba!
You can find me on Instagram (@elliesellwood1).
I’m looking forward to working with you!
