Writer, Certificated Elementary Teacher, Barista Trainer & Ministry Leader
-I am a hard-working, responsible, strategic, and compassionate person who best uses my strengths within the fields of education, ministry, academia, event planning and customer service.
-I am a second-year elementary school teacher, with two years of experience teaching in poverty-impacted, culturally diverse and underserved school communities.
-During my undergraduate career at the University of Washington, I also worked as a barista at Starbucks, & now am currently a barista trainer, currently working towards becoming a shift supervisor & coffeemaster, with five years of work experience at the company.
-As an undergraduate, I majored in Early Childhood & Family Studies and English Literature.
-During my time as an English major, I was a part of a selective Honors cohort, and I wrote a 40-page research Thesis.
-I earned my K-12 teacher certification & my Master's in Teaching through the UW's Elementary Teacher Education program, with endorsements in elementary education, reading & English Language Arts.
-Currently, I substitute in various places, looking to gain more experiences within my field of education.
-My passion includes writing in a variety of capacities, and would love all of the experiences I could have within freelance writing.
-I also work as a ministry leader within Young Adult Ministries, Side by Side Ministries & Children's Ministries at University Presbyterian Church.
-I am an aspiring Master's in Divinity candidate in Theological Seminary, hoping to pursue children's, family and youth ministry within a presbyterian church.
-My dream would be to pursue teaching, writing, and ministry work within a local church community. I'd like to eventually become a children's pastor or Children's Ministry director, bringing together my ministry and teaching experiences to create a fulfilling, purposeful children's faith-based curriculum, and a ministry program that would meet the "Sticky Faith" standards and needs of children, youth and families.
