"Bridging Knowledge and Cybersecurity Defense"
"Securing Tomorrow, One Byte at a Time"
As I stared at the wall of code before me, I couldn’t help but reflect on how far I had come. Just two months, I had no idea that a programming language like Python could be the key to unraveling the complexities of cybersecurity. It started with a simple curiosity—how does one hack into systems? Not for malicious intent, but to understand how they’re protected. That curiosity pulled me into the world of cybersecurity.
My journey began during my first week in of a three-months TechBootcamp in Fablab Winam Institute in Kisumu when I enrolled in an introductory cybersecurity course which was fully funded by KIEPS, SKIES and WORLD BANK . We learned the basics of network security, penetration testing techniques, digital forensics, Soc 1, cryptography, common vulnerabilities among others. But it wasn’t until I heard the term "ethical hacking" that my interest truly ignited. The idea of learning how attackers think, then using that knowledge to defend systems, sounded both challenging and exciting. However, there was a hurdle. While I understood the theory, my programming skills weren’t as sharp. To fully dive into cybersecurity, I needed to become fluent in a language that could translate those theories into action. That’s when I discovered Python luckily enrolled in a python essentials course in African Child Academy Cohort 12 where i get to expertise my skills and knowledge in programming again enrolled for Ethical hacking essentials course in an online learning platform that is Cyber Shujah Institute.
I like reading and doing researchs which keeps updated of the new trends in cyber security space, threats and attacks in most organizations.
I love singing and dancing. An am also a good story teller.
